Fall Programme
Workshop: Wrapped in Buddha’s teachings – with Christina Stuckert (D) and Shinko Hagn
2.8.-3.8.2025
In this two-day workshop, Christina Stuckert will initiate us into the sewing of Buddhist robes (O-Kesa). Our robes are the manifestation of our vows. Shinko Hagn will talk about the meaning of the vows in several lectures.
Christina Stuckert
Long-time sewing teacher at Akazienzendo Berlin and at the Sangha Sans Demeure. A kesa sewn by her is in the permanent collection of the Museum der Kulturen in Basel. It was a commissioned work as part of the exhibition: “Patchwork of Enlightenment.” She is also a naturopath, certified shiatsu therapist, lecturer and artist.
Workshop: Sitting upright – Feldenkrais and Zen
20.9.-21.9.2025
In Zen, meditation is often called “sitting”. It is a posture that allows us to experience our own Buddha nature. It has little to do with our everyday sitting, and the Feldenkrais method offers valuable insights and ways in which we can make our everyday sitting more conscious. Johannes Zemanek will guide us through various exercises. Shinko Hagn offers an introduction to the upright posture in zazen and helps us to meditate together.
Johannes Zemanek: Feldenkrais teacher, academic breathing teacher,
Embodied Life Mentorship Program, psychotherapeutic propaedeutic. Teaches at various institutes and in his own practice. Zen practitioner for many years. www.achtsam-atmen.at
